iPhone users were feeling happy regarding the addition of two new toggles in the control centre. However, the toggles on the control centre won’t turn off WiFi or Bluetooth completely, in fact, they disconnect the active connected device.

So, if you need to completely turn off the WiFi, one has to do it by heading towards the settings menu. Here is the official statement from the Apple support page:

“In iOS 11 and later, when you toggle the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth buttons in Control Center, your device will immediately disconnect from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth accessories. Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will continue to be available.” This will also help with the accessories like Apple pencil, Airdrop and Airplay to work all the time without being interrupted.

However, this might be the first reason to pseudo enable or disable them. However, it creates a lot of vulnerability and might drain the device’s battery. So, if you are not using wireless network via Bluetooth or WiFi, be sure to turn off it completely from setting menu to save some juice.
