Apple iPhone 8, the latest offering from the California tech-giant comes out to be the best-built smartphone from the Apple ever.

Here are the tear-down points from the following Youtube video from the channel named JerryRigsEverything.

Scratch test: The tempered glass used by the company is on par with the other flagship smartphone, the glass will not scratch from a key, razor blade, or even penny coins. However, on the most level of hardness, the custom ion-exchange tempered glass is on par with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Glass starts getting light aggression from level 6 hardness level and makes permanent damage from level 7 hardness level picks.

Burn test: The retina IPS LCD screen can last 10 seconds under the direct flame, after 10 seconds, the screen turns into black and completely recovers within few seconds. So, the device can survive even in the fire hazards.

Apple bragged about the Safire protection glass used on the camera, it looks like, the OEM has used a low-quality tempered glass, which also stars scratching from level 6 hardness pick. Even the touch ID also constructed using the similar glass technology, which can resist the daily wear and tear. The frame, volume buttons, power button, and the navigation keys are constructed using the 7000-grade Aluminium series for the structural rigidity. However, the paint job might come off over the time.

Finally, the ultimate build quality test, the bend test. The device comes doesn’t show a slight flux or bending even after applying immense pressure. This proves the statement from the Keynote that, the iPhone 8 series offers the toughest tempered glass in a smartphone.

Though the build quality on the iPhone 8 is impeccable, there aren’t many features to upgrade from iPhone 7, other than the wireless charging and powerful Apple A11 Bionic Chipset.
