Jio user’s database hacked

Jio, the first telecom player to get almost 12 crore users within a year of their arrival is now in a questionable condition. Earlier today, the website http://magiapk.com was active with displaying most of the Jio user’s details including date of sim card activation, local address, and the verification id was available just like that. Though, the Aadhar no or details were not displayed at least for us.

After few hours of this message going viral, the website went offline due to huge traffic.

First and foremost reason for the people to opt Jio is the fact that, their data and voice pack combos were the cheapest by all means. Can we trust new company Jio from now onwards?

Here is a statement from Jio spokesperson “We have come across the unverified and unsubstantiated claims of the website and are investigating it. Prima facie, the data appears to be unauthentic. We want to assure our subscribers that their data is safe and maintained with the highest security. Data is only shared with authorities as per their requirement. We have informed law enforcement agencies about the claims of the website and will follow through to ensure strict action is taken,”
