Pre-order for JioPhone is going to happen from 24th August 2017. According to the brochure proclaimed by a website confirms the following specifications of the JioPhone.
Storage: JioPhone will feature 4 GB onboard storage with a dedicated SD card slot (up to 128 GB). Camera: The JioPhone will feature 2 MP main camera and a VGA selfie camera.
Browser: Reliance Jio’s browser will support Youtube video playback, Facebook and all the other standard websites.
JioPhone will feature built-in JioApps like Jio Cinema, Jio Music with 21 official Indian language support(all four south Indian languages included). JioPhone will also feature its own proprietary Maps application with GPS for easy navigation.
Like any Jio SIM, upon recharging standard package user will be able to access free HD voice calls, free video calls and free SMS.
JioPhone comes with built-in Jio TV app, that can be connected directly to any TV (smart, LED, LCD, plasma and CRT).
The voice assistance from Jio will be called as Jio Assistance, using this feature one can directly call some or send a text message, play a song or video by saying play music or video. Even the voice command works as TV remote for Jio TV.
However, According to the final page of the brochure, a seller can only accept up to 40 pre-bookings in the first slot. Depending on the response of the first slot, the second slot will be initiated.
There is no news regarding the availability and pricing of the adapter and refund procedure.
