Karbonn has launched a new entry level smartphone under the K9 lineup. As of now, the device is listed on their official website. There are no details regarding the pricing or availability either.
The device comes with plastic build in Champagne and Gold colour options. The Karbonn K9 Smart is fitted with 5-inch FWVGA 480*854 pixel dense display with 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. The device is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core SoC, paired with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated SD card slot (up to 32 GB).
The optics on the Karbonn K9 are simple as it goes. The device features 8 MP rear-facing camera with 720p video recording capability and a 5 MP fixed focus front-facing camera with WVGA resolution video quality. Both cameras come with its own flash to improve low lightning photography. The device also offers rear-facing finger print scanner located on the rear-end of the device (active scanner).
In terms of connectivity, the device comes with dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLTE capability on both slots. Standard features like Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, and WiFi hotspot are also offered. The device also features 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB OTG support via micro USB port. The 2300 mAh battery is user replaceable battery with fast charging capability.
