Earlier today Lava India made an announcement that makes every smartphone or feature phone user happy. If you are planning to buy a Lava smartphone, this is like a Deepavali bonus. According to official statements from Lava India, any Lava phone (feature phone or smartphone) purchased on or after 26 August 2017 will be entitled to 24 months of warranty (previously 12 months).
However, these norms do not apply to the accessories, as they are just covered for 6 months. And the warranty for touch panel and LCD display is for 12 months (no change).
Doubling the warranty norms is a great risk and it helps to bond the customer-company relationship. This means the company should use high-quality parts that can last at least for 2 years. The company has added more than 1000 service centres last year including in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
