Lenovo Moto has started to tease their upcoming premium mid-tier Android smartphone AKA, the Moto X4. Now it is confirmed that the company is indeed launching the device in the country on 13th November in an event held in New Delhi.

Even Flipkart has started bragging about the device on their social media handles by showcasing the complete handset itself. So, now we know every aspect of the smartphone, except for the price tag (speculated to be priced at ₹24,000, considering the US’s $400 price tag).

With respect to design, Lenovo Moto has incorporated the premium full glass design with Aluminium chassis for the structural rigidity. So, in terms of looks, the device is pleasing and can put any smartphone at this price point to shame. Though, the design has been incorporated from the existing moto lineup. few added gestures like chrome plated camera bump really make it one of kind and help the device to stand out in the crowd.

Without further ado, let’s look at the actual tech specifications of the Moto X4. The Moto X4 features a standard 16:9 aspect ratio display with a 5.2-inch diagonal real estate, featuring a 1080p LTPS LCD touch panel. The display is protected by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass with an oleophobic water-resistant coating. Additionally, the device is IP68 certified against dust and water.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage. The SD card slot offered on this model is a hybrid SIM slot, which means either you have to sacrifice a SIM to get storage expandability.  Moving towards the camera, Motorola is once again back with the dual rear-camera solution with a 12 MP normal sensor and an 8 MP wide-angle lens, fine-tune features like OIS and EIS are missing, so, be careful when you are shooting an 4K video on this device.

In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G LTE and VoLte with support for dual-band WiFi and WiFi Hotspot with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC for the wireless payments. Other standard features like 3.5 mm headphone jack will make you feel happy for sure.

Coming to the operating system, the device is expected to run on Android Oreo 8.0 with vanilla user experience, for the most part, however, there is a slight chance that this device might come with Android Nougat 7.1 with a promised update to Oreo in the near future. Finally, the device features a 3000 mAh Li-ion non-user replaceable battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 capabilities out of the box with support for USB OTG.

Here is the official statement from Ayyappan Rajagopal, Senior Director, Smartphones department Flipkart regarding their partnership:
