LG has launched an entry level tablet (LG G Pad X2 8.0) in the US. The tablet offers 8-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution protected by tempered glass.

The device is powered by 1.4 GHz Octa-core SoC, paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage with a dedicated SD card slot. In terms of camera, the device offers 5 MP rear-facing and a similar 5 MP front-facing camera without LED flash on either of the sides. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI from LG on the top.

The differentiating factor from this $240 (INR 18,000) tablet and the others is that this device offers a 10 pin proprietary port, which can be used to attach additional accessories like kick stand or a battery pack with built in full sized USB port and stereo speakers with up to 6350 mAh battery capacity. The device only comes in the Chololaty or Coffee colour shade with high-quality polycarbonate material used for the entire device construction.
