LG India launches one more budget Android smartphone in India. The LG K8 2017 comes with latest Android Nougat with custom LG UI on top.

The device shares its internals with the recently launched LG Q6 (except the display). The built quality on this device is on par with the other LG budget smartphones with the polycarbonate body. The device’s actual retail price is INR 11,000 however, one can buy 2017 edition K8 for just INR 9,999 across the country through offline stores.

The device offers an old-school IPS LCD 720p HD screen, with 2.5D curved glass protection. Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor paired with 1.5 GB LPDDR3 RAM (just like Samsung) and 16 GB onboard storage. The device does feature a dedicated SD card slot which can accept micro SD cards up to 32 GB. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual nano SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on either of the slots.

Moving on to the camera, the device is equipped with 13 MP rear-facing camera(F/2.2 aperture) with 1080p video recording capability and a 5 MP front facing wide-angle selfie camera with F/2.4 aperture. The device also features rear-mounted finger print reader, which works as an active scanner.

Looking at the other aspects, the device does feature NFC, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. Like any smartphone today the device doesn’t miss out on 3.5 mm headphone jack, analogue FM radio. The LG K8 comes with substantial 2500 mAH battery with regular charging capabilities.
