  • Touch to lock: This feature is designed to save battery on the smartphone. After accessing the notifications and the information, just touch the display to lock the smartwatch, compared to the always on display, this should offer better battery life.
  • New language support: Android Wear Oreo now supports additional regions and languages including Dutch, Czech, Spanish, and Portuguese. The support for the different countries includes Belgium, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Nigeria, Paraguay, and Portugal.
  • Enable or disable touchscreen: As most of the smartwatches come with a dedicated hardware key, which can be used to navigate, now one can enable or disable the touch screen to reduce the accidental touches.
