M-tech, the new name in the Indian smartphone market has launched a new entry-level smart mobile named M-tech Eros Plus. The device retails for ₹4,299 and offers plenty of features. The smart mobile will be available in India from 27th November 2017 via major online e-commerce websites and offline retails stores.

In terms of design and build quality, the smartphone offers a metal body look-alike design, however, it just uses plastic which is painted using colours which gives a premium look. As a matter of fact, the company has designed the device with a white colour line, which looks like antenna bands. So, if you look at the device from a distance, you will feel its a premium smartphone and the impression depreciated when you get it on your hand. Considering the price point, the company has done a commendable job, but the colours are expected to fade away in the long haul (keep it in mind). Let’s look at the technical specifications of the same to know more about the M-tech Eros Plus.

Like most of the entry-level Android smartphones, the Eros Plus offers an entry-level 5.0-inch FWVGA IPS LCD screen, laminated using a 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek Quad-core mobile processor with a base clock speed of 1.3 GHz, this processor is paired with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB onboard flash storage. Like always, there is an external micro SD card slot, which can read SD cards up to 64 GB.

In terms of connectivity, the device is Jio enabled in both the SIM card slots, so, this dual SIM smartphone does support 4G LTE and VoLte on both the slots with additional connectivity features like WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.1.

Moving on, as expected this device offers a primitive camera setup on the front as well as on the back. For the main camera, the device uses a 5 MP shooter with 720p video recording capability and on the front, the device houses a VGA selfie camera with VGA quality video recording capability. With respect to operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI on the top, as this is an entry-level smartphone no security patch or OS updates can be expected.

Finally, the smartphone offers a 2000 mAh user replaceable battery with a day of juice on a single charge. The micro USB port does offer support for USB OTG, so that, one can connect USB peripherals like pen drive and other dual drives.
