MeitY will also organise RAISE 2020 – Responsible AI for Social Empowerment 2020 which will be a Global Summit on Artificial Intelligence and held virtually from 5th to 9th October, 2020. Experts from industry, academia and government from all around the world would take part in this global summit and it will bring all stakeholders on AI together in one platform.

The event is planned in partnership with the industry and would provide platform for the best of AI startups to showcase their products. The need for this challenge has came up because the digital transformation has accelerated manifold as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in the last few months. The pandemic has brought forward the importance of technologies like AI to address healthcare crisis, restarting supply chains, enabling online education in every aspect of the economy.

The government is of the opinion that the power of AI can easily solve the societal challenges and be the enabler for inclusion.
