Micromax Bolt Q3001 with 4 GB RAM spotted online

A new Micromax smartphone bearing 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM was spotted online. When we enquired the same with the Micromax spokesperson, we got an official statement that the phone was not meant for the Indian market as this device will be made available in the international market. So, here are the available details on the Micromax Bolt Q3001.

Considering the entry-level specifications of the Micromax Bolt Q3001, the phone comes with a strange set of specifications, which looks like a smartphone that belongs to entry-level to mid-tier specifications. So, here are the complete set of specifications of the Micromax Bolt Q3001.

Like most of the smartphones, let’s start with the display. The smartphone is packed with a 4.0-inch TFT display protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. This display is paired with an entry level 1.2 GHz Spreadtrum Quad-core processor, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB).

On to the camera capability, the smartphone is equipped with a 5 MP autofocus shooter with X5 digital zoom and 720p video recording capability. For the selfie camera, the phone offers a 2 MP fixed focus shooter with VGA quality video recording capability.

With respect to connectivity, the smartphone offers a dual SIM card slot with 3G connectivity. So, this smartphone does not support Jio SIM card on either of the slots. Like most of the smartphones, this phone also offers WiFi, Bluetooth, and analogue FM radio via 3.5 mm headphone jack.

We might not accept the fact that, the phone is not meant for the Indian market. As the product information confirms that, the phones comes with pre-loaded apps like PayTM, Hotstar and Snapdeal. As these are India centric applications, Micromax is trying to cover up something. The phone runs on Android Nougat based operating system with custom UI on the top.
