The team of Microsoft has made an announcement that all the third-party app developers and software vendors would now have the access to integrate their services and apps with Google Team meetings, providing or offering the users with numerous options to go for collaborations and interactive form of meetings.  Although later this year the third-party apps will be provided by developers such as Miro, Polly, Open Agora and many more. During Teams video calls, the third-party apps will not only help the users but will also help to add on to features that will be useful for post-meetings and pre-meetings of participants.

In one of the blog post Microsoft has explained that “For instance, let us consider a third-party Agenda app which could add a tab with an agenda in the pre-meeting window, a button to open agenda items on the meeting control bar, or a summary file or other type of object in the post-meeting chat window”.

Users will be able to share new types of data including app-data seamlessly, with the integration of third-party apps on Microsoft Teams. Previously, to share such kind of information users needed to use Screen Sharing option. Currently, who all are there in the third-party apps coming to Microsoft Teams and their functionalities are unclear. In the coming weeks, the company will be providing more such information.

Microsoft  makes an announcement about a bunch of new updates for Microsoft Teams. Meanwhile, next month its Web client will add a new feature which is known as Microsoft Lists.  To keep everyone in sync, users can “track issues, assets, routines, contacts, inventory, and more with the help of customisable views, rules, and comments.” Later, this year the feature will arrive on Microsoft Teams app for Android as well as iOS.

Together mode was recently launched by the team of Microsoft to improve the video calling experience during this time when everyone has switched to work from home. The objective of this feature is to lessen the fatigue which is experienced by participants on  a long video call. AI segmentation technology is used so that all the participants are placed in shared background which offers a look of an auditorium.

As per the reports, Microsoft has also claimed that this would reduces distractions in  background and would turn out to be helpful for brainstorms and roundtable discussions where multiple people are needed to speak. This feature is yet to be made available on the mobile app.
