The Connect app doesn’t make it in the updated list of features and technologies to be used on Windows.
The Connect option which you see after expanding the settings icon on the bottom right corner of your PC will not be there in the future.
This doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to share the PC screen. This also doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to connect to wireless displays. The functionality is there, it’s just that the pre-installed connect app won’t be there.
We still don’t know which alternative feature we will have to connect to wireless displays. There is a long way to do it though. By going to Settings > Apps > Optional features > Add a feature and then install the Wireless Display app.
Many are in the misconception that the whole functionality to connect with the wireless display or Miracast is going away. But that’s not the case.
