Microsoft has made great progress with its Your Phone, adding more and more capabilities so you can text, answer calls and browse photos stored on your phone from the comfort of your computer. But now things are about to get more exciting.

The motto of  ‘Your phone’ was to provide a seamless connection between your mobile and PC. Now with this upcoming feature things could almost be seamless. But there is a twist though.

Every Android user has to face so many difficulties running android apps on their PC. Doing such a thing without any emulator would be such a delight. But this delight will only be for Samsung users.

Due to the partnership between Samsung and Microsoft, this feature is exclusive to only Samsung users.

In a post on the Windows Blog, the company explains: “Microsoft’s Your Phone app and Link to Windows integration on select Samsung devices, enables you to stay in the flow by allowing you to take calls, check notifications, see photos and messages, all from your Windows 10 PC. Now, on your Samsung Galaxy Note20, you can access and interact with your favorite mobile apps directly on your Windows 10 PC through the Your Phone app”.

Well if you don’t know what ‘Your Phone’ is then here are some key features of this software.

The devices which will support this new functionality are

Microsoft stated that there are some known issues with the Apps feature at the moment. Some apps may block the ability to cast to other screens, so you might see a black screen. Meanwhile, some games and apps may not respond to a mouse and keyboard, while audio from some apps might continue to play on your mobile device rather than on your PC.

One feature is exclusive to only Note 20 where you can run multiple apps at the same time. This feature will most probably be made available to other Samsung devices in the future.

Well not everyone using a Windows 10 would be able to use this feature now as it is still in testing mode. Soon everyone who has  Windows 10 October 2018 update or later and an Android smartphone running Android 9 Pie or later will be able to enjoy this amazing feature.

This is an amazing addition to  ‘Your phone’ but the fact that it is only available to Samsung users has left other android users a bit sad. They are hoping to get such functionality on their devices and PC’s too. Only Microsoft knows if they will treat all android users the same or be biased a bit towards Samsung in the near future.
