Moto Camera

At the Google I/O 2018there were rumors about the integration of Google Lens to the camera apps of many phones. There were rumors that phones from Huawei, Motorola, Sony and some other companies will integrate Google Lens. Sony was the first mobile manufacturer to add Google Lens to its camera app. Now, it seems like Motorola is the next company to do so. A new update for the Moto Camera app brings this feature to Motorola phones. However, Lens still will not be working in the camera app itself. It is however just a shortcut that will allow users to use the Lens features.

The new update will bring the new Lens button at the bottom of the camera app. However, it will not work as expected by the users. The button will open a separate instance of Lens that users can use to scan for objects, text and other things. After the user is done, they will go back to the camera app. This new feature is just another way to access the Google Assistant version of the Lens feature.
