In 2017, Moto hasn’t unveiled a Play edition of the Moto G5, that doesn’t means that the Lenovo owned Moto has killed the lineup. According to the recent tweet from the Evan Blass AKA @evleaks, the company is all set to launch Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play altogether in early 2018.

So, what one can expect from these three smartphones?

Let’s start with the Moto G6. Just like the Moto G5 and Moto G5S Plus, the device will feature a full metal unibody design with few improvements over the exiting lineup from the Moto. In terms of features, the device is expected to offer USB type C instead of micro USB port with water and dust resistance rating.

From the processing point of view, the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Octa-core SoC paired with either 3 GB or 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot. The device is likely to feature a standard 1080p IPS LCD screen with 5.5-inch screen size, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top.

With respect to the camera, the device is likely to offer dual camera setup with 4K video recording capability and an 8 MP front-facing wide-angle lens with 1080p video recording capability. In terms of connectivity, the device will offer dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability out of the box.

Finally, coming to the operating system, the device is likely to offer Android Oreo 8.0 with stock user interface without any customisation.

Coming to the Moto G6 Plus, the device is likely to offer either 5.7 or 5.9-inch full HD+ resolution screen 18:9 aspect ration screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass on the top. Except this, the remaining features will remain the same through the lineup.

Finally, the Moto G6 Play, the device is expected to feature new resolution screen with a better processor (Probably Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 or 660), which will be focused on the gaming perspective.
