Who doesn’t love smartphones? However, when the smartphone screen breaks it gives a mini heart attack even if it’s a cheaper one. To put a full stop to this always annoying thing, Motorola is working on a new display technology that can heal itself whenever it deforms.

As the company has already gained an US patent regarding the design and working of the Self-healable display. We can expect to receive Moto or Lenovo smartphones within a year or two to ship a smartphone with this screen technology. However, the technology might only be used on their premium flagship smartphones at least for sometimes due to availability and affordability.

The display will be constructed using “Thermo setting shape memory polymer”, when it deforms, the device is likely to produce some heat, that activates the polymer into its original shape. We might expect to see this feature on upcoming smartphones as soon as possible(within two years or so), as it saves a fortune from the users who tend to drop their phone repeatedly.
