Sony Corp., is replacing it’s leaders in distribution and marketing section of the company so that there could be a shift and new perspective in online viewing. Keith Le Goy, President of distribution for television and a former Walt Disney Co. executive is planning on adding home entertainment.

These changes by the company are done by the perspective that as the audience is moving from watching TV to watching everything on the internet, the company as well is adapting to it.

Le Goy is taking over from Man Jit Singh who was previously the head. Andy Kaplan, president of worldwide networks, is also planning on leaving the post. He had been in charge of the online channels such as Crackle. They all will report directly to the director of Sony, Mike Hopkins.

Sony Entertainments current chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra had recurited Mike Hopkins as the Chairman of Sony Pictures Television. He had also redrawn the top executives of Sony Corp.

Andy Kaplan will step down from the post of President of Worldwide Networks. He had been in the company for the past 31 years. Sheraton Kalouria will step down from the position of SPT’s President and CEO and Man Jit Singh from the post of President of SPE Home Entertainment. “The expansion of Keith’s oversight is not only recognition of his leadership strength and success in this space, but also of the changing landscape of the home entertainment sector, which continues to shift from physical to digital, and increasingly to markets around the world,” Vinciquerra said.

“Keith’s global experience is unmatched in our industry and he is the perfect fit to reorient our home entertainment business to align with the realities of today’s marketplace.”
