According to some reports Google is testing a new User Interface for the extremely popular YouTube App for Android. The new look of the app will include a new search bar on top and larger thumbnail images for videos. Currently if the user wants to search for anything in the app, they have to click on search icon in the upper right corner. This opens the search bar where user can type to search from video streamer’s ever growing library of videos.
What new change in UI users can expect from YouTube App:
The UI currently under testing is expected to feature a new search bar. The new search bar will stretch across the left center of the top of the page. the new search bar will now take about two third space of the top. Also, it will save user’s a click when they will have to search for a video in the YouTube App. This feature also makes some sense as most of the users use the search frequently to search for a video.
The new user interface is also expected to have a larger thumbnails for the videos. The new thumbnails will be running edge to edge on the home page of the YouTube App. However, according to some reports it is not sure whether these larger thumbnails will also be seen elsewhere in the app.
Apart from these two major updates, there are some minor tweaks in the UI too. However, it is not clear whether these new changes will get a wide release.
