India is now at present using the digital platform to complete their work. This includes digital payments. Google Pay has played a vital role in solving the problem of digital payments with safe and secure transactions and providing various rewards to the users at the same time. Now Google Pay has decided to add some new and updated features in its system. According to sources, Google Pay is planning to introduce payment through limited number of debit and credit cards along with the option of Unified Payments Interface or UPI.

With the help of this, people would get to use the near-field communication or NFC technology and make contactless payments. Google Pay has not yet officially confirmed anything about this but according to some support pages, one has explained about the system of adding a card on Google Pay and the other one has explained the token system used for making payments. The facility is available for Axis Bank credit or debit cards and SBI credit cards. The card can be used for making payments by choosing any one option between tap and pay or NFC, Bharat QR and in-app merchants.

Sources say that the users have to set up the card before using the service. This will be done through a system of verification by entering an OTP received from the bank. The phone will then work like a card and users will be able to tap and pay at NFC-enabled terminals and will also Bharat QR codes for making online payments. For security reasons, a user has to register his or her card again in case if they change or reset their phone. A few users have mentioned at a Reddit thread that they have seen the feature in their Google Pay apps last month which has ensured that a few users have access to the service at present.
