HMD Global made official that, the Nokia 2 which is the cheapest offering from the brand will retail in India for ₹6,999. However, rumours speculating a 2 GB RAM version for the price tag of ₹7,999 are also trending. So, according to the recent information, the smartphone will be made available on offline retail stored from 24th November.

The company has also partnered with Reliance Jio to offer up to 45 GB of free 4G data upon the recharges made for ₹309 or higher data packs (5 GB per recharge) up to 9 recharges. So, you are also getting something extra for the amount which you have paid. This offer will be in existence until August 2018.

The company is also offering a 12-month damage protection plan via Servify if the user opens a Kotak 811 savings account with an initial deposit of ₹1,000 rupees in the introductory offer.

Looking at the actual tech specifications, the Nokia 2 is incarnated with a 5.0-inch TFT LCD display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 Quad-core SoC, paired with either 1 GB or 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM with 8 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 64 GB).

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots with additional connectivity features like single-channel WiFi, WiFi Hotspot and Bluetooth 4.2 out of the box.

For the camera enthusiasts, the smartphone offers an 8 MP rear-facing camera with 720p video recording capability with a 5 MP front-facing fixed focus selfie camera with the same HD video recording capability. The smartphone is IP52 certified, which should protect the smartphone from the accidental drops and hickups.

For the purpose of entertainment, the smartphone does offer analogue FM radio with music player and video player. As this device runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 with the vanilla user interface, the device can benefit from the 2 billion apps on the Google Play store. The company also claims that the Android oreo update is on the way and the device should receive the same in no time.

Finally, coming to the last but not the least interesting feature, the battery. HMD Global has used a massive 4100 mAh Li-ion battery with up to 2 days of battery life on a single charge.
