Pre-order for Nokia 2 begins in Russia

Nokia has started accepting pre-orders for the upcoming entry-level Android Nokia 2 smartphone which offers mammoth 4100 mAh Li-ion battery. The smartphone is priced at RUB 7,990 (₹8,799) which is slightly costlier than the US and EU price tag ($99 and 99 Euros).

The USP for Nokia 2 is 2 days battery backup on a single charge. Here are the complete tech specifications for Nokia 2.

Nokia 2 features a 5.0-inch HD 720p LTPS TFT screen, protected by 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass on the top. Under its hood, the device gets its power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 Quad-core SoC, paired with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB Onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 64 GB). In terms of connectivity, the device offers a dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE capability with support for single 2.4 GHz channel WiFi, WiFi Hotspot and Bluetooth 4.2.

The device doesn’t compromise much on the camera aspect, as a result, the smartphone includes an 8 MP rear-facing camera with HD video recording capability and a 5 MP selfie camera with 720p video recording capability. So, you would be getting similar camera capabilities as that of the Nokia 3. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 with stock vanilla essence and expected to receive Android Oreo in the near future. As a matter of fact, the device is IP52 certified, which should save the device from accidental water spells and dust, but if you take it to the extreme, the device might not survive at all.

Finally, the best part about this smartphone is the battery, it packs a massive best in class 4100 mAh Li-ion battery, due to the unavailability of the fast charging, the device will take a long time to charge from 0 to 100 percent (almost 3 hours).
