Nokia, a multinational telecommunications company mostly known and loved for it’s amazing build quality makes yet another come-back into the the smartphone market, this time via HMD Global. Acquiring the rights to the “NOKIA” brand name last year, HMD Global has launched it’s new smartphone bearing Nokia’s name, called the Nokia 6. The phone is launched in China and it’s priced at CNY 1,699 which after conversion to the Indian Rupee, would be approximately Rs. 16,700.

Given the brand’s history in amazing build quality, it seems as though HMD Global have not compromised in this department. The device features a full aluminum body, a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla glass and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC chip with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Sporting the device speakers are Dolby Atmos audio drivers. The back of the device has a 16MP camera and a dual-tone flash, while the front of the device sports an 8MP camera, touch capacities back and menu buttons as well as a fingerprint scanner which also acts as the home button. The device is set to roll out early this year with Android Nougat running out of the box.
HMD Global also stated “The Nokia 6 marks the first step of our journey, with more to come in 2017”.

The device will be available in China via http://www.jd.com, early 2017, whereas it’s release in India is not mentioned and hence remains unknown as of the date of this post.
