The current hot topic amongst the tech enthusiasts is Nokia 8. Soon after HMD Global launches its first ever Android flagship smartphone, many smartphone/tech enthusiasts are pouring out their opinion regarding the latest offering from Finnish smartphone brand.

Is Nokia 8’s design outdated?

The Nokia 8 flaunts some of the best specifications and features that one can expect from Nokia, their state of the art design is also looks premium. But the actual problem is people always have high expectation when it comes to Nokia, so, the simplistic design approach in the Nokia 8 is not making their fans happy.

Did Nokia play safe-game in terms of design?

For the most part, yes, Nokia hasn’t done a lot of research into the design, even if they have done they are too afraid to experiment with their first-ever flagship smartphone itself. The design that is adopted on Nokia 8 is something that is borrowed from Nokia Lumia range (four years older design).

Considering their catastrophic history (how they sold themselves to Microsoft) it’s acceptable that, the design is borrowed from the predecessor. The main mistake here is their latest budget offering Nokia 5 looks exactly similar to that Nokia 8 (other than the additional camera). This is making the fan base very angry.
