HMD Global the company that releases the Nokia branded smartphones has confirmed that all Nokia phones will receive Android P software update. This means that all the Nokia phones released by HMD Global so far will receive software updates for Android P. Currently the next version of Android is only rolling out as a preliminary beta version which is unstable. Users can expect the rollout of the stable version the Android version to begin by later this year. The stable update will be rolling out closer to the launch of the next Google Pixel devices.

Nokia phones with Android P update:

All the Nokia devices that are running Android One and are currently within the two-year guarantee period Google demands flagship updates. These phones mainly include the Nokia 8 SiroccoNokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 5.1, and Nokia 3.1. So it is confirmed that these phones will get the new version of the Android. Also HMD Global had previously promised that the first generation of Nokia phones will also be updated to Android P. The first generation of Nokia phones mainly include the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, and Nokia 8.

The list of smartphones that are set to receive the update as per the announcement is thus fairly extensive. This announcement will also make the buyers of the earliest Android-powered Nokia smartphones a reason to celebrate. HMD has also already delivered on its promise to provide an update to its smartphones. The company has already provided its last year Nokia-branded smartphones Android Oreo updates. Currently, Nokia smartphones are one of the first phones to get the new updates in terms of software. So there is high chance that the company will keep its promise once again.
