JioPhone had its first phase of pre-booking on 24th August 2017 after 5:30 PM. The three modes of booking were presented to smoothen the process. However, at least up to 6:30 PM we couldn’t access the registration page either on Jio.com or through My Jio app. We don’t know the fate of those who went through the offline pre-booking mode.
Interestingly, after 6:30 the registration page was accessible, on the first page we entered our already existing phone number and the pin code of our area. When we clicked on the pay button, we encountered n number of errors like the page started to load and didn’t happen anything, we were redirected to a blank page and so on. However, we couldn’t pre-order our unit.
Mukesh Ambani led Jio telecom is planning sell at least 20 crore JioPhone’s by the end of 2018. The fiasco happened with the Jio SIM in the beginning. The Booking link is still live on the website, but it’s only asking phone number and struck at the same without going forward.
