Chinese smartphone manufacturer Nubia has launched their latest gaming phone, the Red Magic 3, in Beijing on Apr. 28. The Nubia Red Magic 3 can be considered as a beastly gaming smartphone with specialized hardware that we haven’t seen in a commercial Android smartphone before.

Nubia Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone comes with features like a 90Hz screen, a Snapdragon 855 processor, a 5000mAh battery and an active cooling system.
A maxed out Red Magic 3 will boast 256GB of storage and a whopping 12GB of RAM.
The Android smartphone also has a 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED display which supports HDR content and eliminates lag with its 90 Hz refresh rate. There are front-facing speakers with DTS:X surround sound and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Red Magic 3 runs on a stock-like Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
Gamers will be able to get an hour of playtime after just 10 minutes worth of charging thanks to the phone’s 5,000mAh battery featuring 27W quick charging. The phone can apparently record 8K video as well.
Since it is a gaming phone, the Red Magic 3 also features an active cooling system, which according to Nubia dramatically improves thermal performance. Unlike other gaming smartphones that offer passive cooling systems, Nubia Red Magic 3 has a “state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology with an internal turbofan.” Nubia says this solution not only improves thermal design but also boasts performance for a “smoother, more comfortable gaming experience.”
The Nubia Red Magic 3 comes in four colors: Black, Red, Camouflage and Blue and Red Gradient. It will start from 3199 Yuan (or approx Rs 33,178) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, 3499 Yuan (or approx Rs 36,289) for the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and 4299 Yuan (or approx Rs 44,589) for the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The brand says the gaming-centric smartphones will also be made available in India in the coming months, but the exact date has not been specified.
The phone also comes with a gaming focussed dashboard, monitor temperature, record in-game videos, and block notifications for the uninterrupted gaming experience. Nubia Red Magic 3 is touted to not just be a gaming-focussed smartphone but also an ideal daily driver.
