In a highly unlikely way, now we have the complete information regarding the upcoming premium flagship smartphone from OnePlus. According to the recent listing, the device will be unveiled in India on 16th November 2018, a short poster on Amazon India confirms the same, as well as the device, will be available exclusively on Amazon India from the same date.

So, what you can expect from the OnePlus 5T?

The only change that one can expect from the Oneplus 5T is the display. Instead of normal 16:9 aspect ratio screen, the device will feature an 18:9 aspect ratio screen with improved FHD+ resolution (probably an OLED display) protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with either 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash USF 2.1 storage without any SD card slot.

Coming to the camera department, the device offers a dual rear-camera solution with 16 MP + 20 MP sensors. Those cameras offer premium features like X1.6 optical zoom and live portrait mode by blurring the background which highlights the object making it look like a photo taken using a high-quality DSLR. For the selfie enthusiasts, the device offers a 16 MP front-facing selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability.

With respect to the operating system, the device will run on Android Oreo with custom UI on the top. However, the device will miss out on the features like IP67 or IP68 rating for dust and water resistance as well as the wireless charging capability. As a matter of fact, this will be the first OnePlus smartphone to have a fingerprint scanner located on the back casing, as most of the front real estate is occupied by the display.

Coming to the pricing, the device is expected to retail at $450 (INR 40,000) for the entry-level model and an extra $50 (INR 4000) for the 8 GB RAM variant.
