OnePlus has launched a new variant of the OnePlus 5T with a new paint job called “Lava Red” additional to the Midnight Black color paint job. Like Apple, the smartphone does not cost a penny extra and the device does cost the same CNY 2,999 (₹ 29,999).

As of now, there is no information on the availability of the smartphone in India. However, the device is now available on China’s official OnePlus website. So, if you are a fancy user, who likes odd colored smartphones, then OnePlus 5T “Lava Red” might be the one.

if you don’t know much about the OnePlus 5T, here are the complete tech specifications of the same.

The OnePlus 5T features a 6.0-inch FHD+ 2160x1080p AMOLED touch panel (18:9 aspect ratio), protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass from Corning Gorilla. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core Mobile Solution, paired with 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage. The company continues their strategy of no micro SD card slot.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers a dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability with support for NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, and WiFi Hotspot. The smartphone does offer 3.5 mm headphone jack as well. However, the device does not offer wireless charging capability or water resistance feature.

On to the camera, the smartphone offers a dual camera setup. This camera setup is a bit different from the one on the OnePlus 5. The smartphone uses a 16 MP + 20 MP camera setup with a F/1.7 aperture on the lenses for the enhanced low light photography. For the main camera, the company uses a 16 MP shooter with 1080p video recording capability. The main camera does offer EIS for 1080p and 4K video recording capability.

In terms of operating system, the device runs on a custom version of Android Nougat with features like dual apps and face unlock. The company has promised an Oreo upgrade down the road. Finally, the smartphone offers a 3300 mAh Li-ion battery with Dash charging capability, which can charge the battery up to 60 percent in just 30 minutes.
