Coming to the actual tech specifications, the device offers similar hardware and design to the OnePlus 5. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage with no SD card slot. The main differentiating factor is the new 18:9 aspect ratio display with a 6.0-inch screen. This smartphone also offers narrower bezels. For the first time, the company has opted for a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

Coming to the camera capability, the smartphone offers a rear dual-camera setup. The 16 MP wide angle lens and a 20 MP telephoto lens with X1.6 optical zoom and 4k video recording capability. For the selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone offers a 16 MP front-facing selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability. One feature that differentiates this smartphone from the other models is the presence 3.5 mm headphone jack.

However, this smartphone still hasn’t answered some questions like wireless charging with water and dust resistance certification. Finally, the only mystery that we are waiting to unravel is the price tag. One of our sources says that the smartphone will be priced similarly to that of the OnePlus 5, which opens up for the many questions like what about the current OnePlus 5?
