OnePlus 5 has gone out of stock in US and UK (online storage), does that means, the OEM is planning to launch the successor for the OnePlus 5 AKA OnePlus 6? Let’s find out.

As we mentioned in our earlier post, the OnePlus 5 is in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Does that mean the OEM is ready to launch the successor of the OnePlus 5? Let find out.

According to the recent speculations, OnePlus is planning to launch the successor for the OnePlus 5 sooner than the expected time frame. So, one might be able to get their hands on the OnePlus 5T/6 as early as the January 2018.

Speculated feature list of the OnePlus 6:

OnePlus 6 is expected to feature a unique design language, unlike the OnePlus 5, which has a resemblance to the Apple iPhone 7 Plus. The device might be the first smartphone to feature full glass design, to make more aesthetically pleasing as well as to add features like wireless charging.

OnePlus 6 is expected to solve all the things that users are not happy with the OnePlus 5. Starting with the display, the OEM is likely to replace the standard 1080p OLED panel with 16:9 aspect ration to the cinematic 18:9 aspect ratio screen with narrows bezels and improved high-resolution QHD screen is expected.

In terms of processor, RAM, and storage the upcoming device is expected to feature similar tech-specifications as that of the OnePlus 5. So, one can expect 6 GB or 8 GB RAM, 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage can be expected. As Qualcomm hasn’t announced the successor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, the upcoming OnePlus 6 is also expected to be powered by the same system on a chip.

In terms of camera capability, the device is expected to feature a similar set of cameras as of the OnePlus 5, however, features like OIS for both the sensors, front-facing LED flash can also be expected. In terms of features, the device is likely to offer an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, wireless charging capability, facial recognition features are also expected. This time, the device is also expected to bigger battery with next generation fast charging capability.

A recent speculation also suggests that the OnePlus 6 will feature Oppo F5 like the design and build. This might be true considering the fact that, the OnePlus is brand under the umbrella of Oppo.
