The Chinese phone maker OnePlus is back with a bang! There are rumors that OnePlus is ready to make a big announcement with OnePlus 6- a high-end phone that is expected to be launched in the month of May or June this year. While the earlier rumors looked more like cooked up stories but the recent update from China looks genuine. A couple of images released that were posted on Weibo, a Chinese social media site suggest that OnePlus 6 may come with vertically-aligned dual-rear cameras and an edge-to-edge screen with notch- more of an iPhone X looks.
The OnePlus 6 leaked images suggest that the phone will come with mirror finish, or at least, a variant which will feature the mirror finish. The leaked images also added that the fingerprint sensor will be on the rear cover of the phone.Adding a pinch of salt to the links, the image shows the fairly well-recognized OnePlus 6 logo on the rear cover. The credibility of OnePlus 6 can’t be assured as these are very early days to believe the leaks.
The point to be noted with the latest release is that OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has not debunked the latest rumors as he did for the earlier ones on Twitter.
Later on, OnePlus 6 images that were posted on Weibo were deleted. By the time complete move of deleting these leaked images was done they were saved and shared by a lot of the people.
Not much is known about the upcoming OnePlus 6 and it is expected that the phone will be launched this summer(expected,before the end of the second quarter). Last year, OnePlus 5 was launched in the middle of June but this year news suggests that the OnePlus 6 will be coming a little earlier. The delay in the launch of OnePlus 5 was majorly due to the low supply of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. But this year the supply of Snapdragon 845 is good and hence it is expected that OnePlus 6 can be seen soon in the market.
Though the early leaks suggest that it is certain for OnePlus 6 to come with the Snapdragon 845 chipset but the other hardware details will be clear closer to the launch of the phone.It is expected that the phone will feature dual cameras, an edge-to-edge screen just like OnePlus 5T screen along with 6GB RAM, at least 64GB internal storage and a button for quick toggle of silent mode. The phone is assumed to work on Oxygen OS, based on Android Oreo.
As per the details available, it is rumored that the new OnePlus 6 will come with the same screen as OnePlus 5T but the company is looking forward to improving the camera experience. Last year, the company highlighted that audio through the USB C type port is better, so it is expected that the new OnePlus 6 won’t be having a 3.5mm headphone jack- a new concept! The other features include face unlocking and Dash charging- something common these days.
The Chinese phone maker OnePlus has earlier released the statement that it only wants to sell one high-end phone at a time, so as per their strategy OnePlus 6 will be the top flagship from the house of OnePlus from the time of its launch until probably the end of the year, when something like OnePlus 6T may be rolled out in the market. Talking about the launch date and price, nothing is revealed yet but seeing the company’s performance in India, it is expected that the phone will be launched on the same date in India when it will be released globally. On the basis of trends in the pricing strategy opted by the company, it is expected that OnePlus 6 too will be relatively more affordable just like the other phones launched by the company!
