Oppo A83, upcoming Oppo smartphone spotted on TENAA

A new Oppo smartphone was listed on the China’s Telecom regulatory authority. The smartphone came with a name Oppo A83 and here are the important tech specifications of the actual smartphone. At this time of the year, the smartphone maker might be planning to make a fortune with a new smartphone.

To begin with the actual tech-specifications, the smartphone offers a 5.7-inch 720p HD+ resolution 1440x720p IPS LCD screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top for additional protection. The smartphone is powered by an unknown Octa-core Mobile Solution with up to 2.5 GHz maximum clock speed with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage. As this is an HD+ display, the smartphone is likely to offer an 18:9 aspect ratio display with narrow bezels. So, though this device has a 5.7-inch screen, the device will have a smaller form factor compared to a smartphone with a 5.5-inch device.

After looking at the specifications, we have very odd feeling about this upcoming smartphone. Considering the amount of RAM and storage this device looks like an entry-level smartphone, however, the Octa-core processor with higher clock speed does not convey a similar message.

For the photogenic personnel, the Oppo A83 is equipped with a 13 MP rear-facing camera with PDAF with 1080p video recording capability. For the selfie camera, the smartphone offers an 8 MP shooter with 720p video recording capability.

The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with custom UI on the top. Other standard connectivity features like dual SIM card slots, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, and NFC is also present. Finally, this device offers a 3090 mAh Li-ion sealed battery with fast charging capability via micro USB port.

In terms of physical aspects, the smartphone weights at 143 grams, and will be offered in Gold and Black paint job. As these details are found on TENAA, there is no information on the pricing or availability of the smartphone.
