In an urge to increase their market shares, tech companies not only bring out new innovations but also very often try to upgrade our age-old gadgets. Television has been one such areas. 2017 witnessed the release of Android TV by Google. This, however, couldn’t make it to the markets. But, hopes have been kept high by the efforts of Beebom Nvidia and Xiaomi. The Nvidia Sheild TV and the Mi Box revealed at the MWC 2018 are reported to be using the Android Oreo.
The two companies clearly have an unfair advantage as there are hardly any other such products currently in this market segment.
The Xiaomi Mi Box unveiled during Google I/O 2016 is basically a 4K Ultra HD streaming device plus a gaming box powered by Android TV. Mi Box provides access to streaming apps including Showtime, Netflix, HBO, Youtube and many more directly on to your big screens. Users also get to enjoy live TV channels. Being powered by Google Cast gives Mi Box ability to cast shows, movies, music and more from phone, tablet or laptop onto the televisions with as less as a single tap. The Mi Box comes with a Google-voice integrated remote which made it so futuristic.

The new Mi Box 4 comes with a fresh white coating. Amlogic S905L quad-core Cortex-A53 64-bit processor powers this device along with a 3+2 core Mali-45 GPU. This also has a 2GB of RAM and an 8GB of internal storage.
