Bezel-less Panasonic Eluga C unveiled in Taiwan for TWD 6,000

Panasonic has forayed into the bezel-less world by launching a new bezel-less Panasonic Eluga C in Taiwan. The smartphone is priced at TWD 6,000, which roughly translates to ₹12,900. At this price tag, this is the most oddly satisfying smartphone.

As a matter of fact, this is the best-looking smartphone from this OEM and offers a lot of potential for the price tag. With respect to design, the smartphone offers an all-glass back design and that increases the overall design of the smartphone. Let’s look at the actual tech specifications for the Panasonic Eluga C.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS LCD display, which offers bezel-less design on three sides, making it in line with the smartphone like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and the Essential Phone. This display panel is protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. However, the only downside about this device is the fact that, this device does offer older 16:9 aspect ratio screen. Considering the fact that, most of the smartphones offer 18:9 aspect ratio (at this form factor), this is unacceptable.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6750T Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB). So, there will not be any problem with the storage.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers dual nano-SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. Other standard features like Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi and WiFi Hotspot are also present. The phone does feature a fingerprint scanner, which is located on the home button.

For the camera capability, the smartphone offers a dual rear-facing camera with 13 MP main RGB sensor and a 5 MP secondary sensor, which helps to capture the varied depth of field. Like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, the selfie camera is situated on the bottom left corner, as there is no “place to place” the front-facing selfie camera on the top. The 8 MP selfie camera does offer 1080p video recording capability.

The smartphone runs on a custom version of the Android Nougat operating system and there is no information about the Android Oreo upgrade. Last but not the least, the smartphone offers a 3000 mAh sealed battery with normal charging capability (up to 7.5 watts).

As of now, there is no information regarding the availability of the smartphone outside Taiwan. Finally, a great smartphone from Panasonic after a long time.
