Panasonic India innovation center

Panasonic India has inaugurated its first Indian innovation venter in the IT city, Bengaluru. The innovation centre has been started with partnership of Tata Consultancy Services. The newly launched facility will work with technologies like Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and mobile technology.

By leveraging technology already available with Panasonic India, the innovation centre will work on open innovation in consumer electronics space which will have AI and IoT touch to it.

Speaking at the launch, Daizo Ito, Regional head at Panasonic stated that the main aim of this unit will be to bring all of R&D services of Panasonic under one roof for better internal collaboration. He also added that the facility will strengthen India as a market to lead innovation in this asian region. The technology developed here will be crucial for domestic and global markets.

Panasonic’s India head, Manish Sharma said that this centre is a key step in order to establish India as an influential player in the region. The Panasonic innovation centre will work for some cutting-edge technologies in the coming time and will compete with some of the biggest and most advanced markets. He also added that the penetration of internet has generalised things across the markets. This gives India a great chance to emerge as a leader and the partnership with TCS will further help them in making technological advancements.
