The world is going through a bad phase as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Millions of people have lost their lives as a result of this pandemic. Health officials have asked people to wear face masks to save themselves from getting infected by Covid-19. Face masks have proved themselves to be helpful in protection of people from this pandemic. But on the other hand, people find it difficult to use them as it leads to irritation and sweating if used for a longer period of time.
To get people rid of this problem, LG has taken an initiative to make a different type of mask for people. LG has recently made an official announcement of producing new air-purifying face mask which will be known as the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier. It will be having two H13 HEPA air filters and multi speed fans which can be strapped on to the face like a normal face mask. It will also have the facility of recharge as it will come under a UV LED sterilizing case. LG has however clarified that the mask is not being made to stop the spread of coronavirus.
The mask will be able to detect how a person is breathing and will adjust the speed of the fan according to that. It will also be able to minimize the leakage of air around nose and chin. However, sources have not revealed anything about the weight of the mask and whether the mask can stop a person’s breath from being spread to others. Detailed specifications will be disclosed at the IFA virtual exhibition 2020. But LG has stated that the PuriCare mask will be available for purchase in a few markets by this year. At present, experts have stated that the PuriCare is the most safest mask to be used during the Covid-19 pandemic while on the other hand, various companies are busy producing masks that can stop the spread of this disease.
