The major OME’s have already launched their premium tier flagship smartphones. However, a new brand is expected to foray into the smartphone territory. The famous gaming laptop brand is all set to launch their premium flagship smartphone, which offers some of the impressive specifications. So, here are the details regarding the Razer Phone.
The engineering behind this smartphone will be taken care by the team behind the Nextbit Robin. So, we can expect the squarish design, that was seen on the Nextbit Robin. However, instead of a plastic unibody, the manufacturer is likely to use full metal unibody solution or a glass design to make it look cool and to match up with the other premium smartphones in the market.
With respect to the pricing, as Razer smartphones are always aggressively priced, we can also expect the same for the smartphone as well. So, we can expect a price tag of $500 (INR 35,000) for the entry-level model.
So, let’s look at the technical specifications of the Razer Phone:
The Razer Phone features a 5.72-inch IGZO display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate and Wide colour gamut. For the premium sound experience, the device offers premium Dolby Atmos sound with dual front-firing speakers with amplifiers certified by THX.
In terms of camera capability, the device offers a dual rear-camera setup with a 12 MP and a 13 MP cameras offering F/1.75 aperture and F/2.2 aperture. These cameras should offer features like 4K video recording capability and live portrait mode out of the box.
Coming to the battery, the device features a massive 4000 mAh Li-ion battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 4+ (which confirms that the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Solution), paired with 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 2 TB).
In terms of connectivity, the device also offers dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability with 4G Super-Voice technology. As these are unofficial announcements, and Razer haven’t specified anything about its future plans, the device should take some time to launch the device (probably in 2018).
