Razer Phone, the flagship smartphone made for the gamers (from Nextbit Robin engineers) is all set to land in India in next few weeks. The CEO of the company, Min-Liang Tan has confirmed the same.

However, India will not the first Asia country to launch this feature, as the CEO is from the Singapore, that will be the first Asian market to receive the device.

Here is the official comment on the same from Razer CEO:

“While we founded Razer in California, US, I’m a Singaporean still and I’m very excited to make Singapore the first country in Asia to release the Razer Phone.”

Originally, the Razer Phone retails in the US for $699, however, for the Asian market, the price tag will be revised to $790, so, the device is likely to cost ₹6,000 extra compared to the United States.

Looking at the tech specifications, the smartphone offers top of the tier specifications, which are in line with the other premium flagship smartphones. The Razer phone features a full metal unibody design with dual front-firing speakers with stereo sound effect. For the display, the smartphone uses a QHD+ IPS LCD panel with up to 120 Hz refresh rate. As a matter of fact, this is the first Android-powered smartphone to offer this faster refresh rates. So, with the dual front-firing speakers and the 120 Hz refresh rate screen will improve the overall gaming experience.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship class Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 2 TB). In the US, the device offers a single SIM card slot, however, for the Asian market, we can expect to see dual SIM card model with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots. Other standard connectivity features like dual channel WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC are also present. However, the company have removed the 3.5 mm headphone jack, which might be the deal-breaking feature for some users.

Coming to the camera capability, the smartphone is equipped with a dual rear-facing camera setup. The 12 MP wide angle lens and the 12 MP telephoto lens can capture photos with bokeh effect with X2 optical zooming capability. The main camera does offer 4K video recording capability with up to 30 frames per second. For the selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone offers an 8 MP selfie shooter with F/2.0 aperture that can record native 1080p video up to 30 frames per second. As this is a gaming smartphone, it offers a massive 4000 mAh Li-ion battery, which should last for a complete day even for the heavy user.
