Oppo’s Realme announced that it will be among the first brands to bring 5G products globally. In India 5G roll out is not  expected until 2020, in that situation one wonders how long it will take for Realme to brings its 5G phones before 5G roll out in the country.

On the sidelines of Realme’s 64MP quad camera technology event in New Delhi on Thursday, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth told that he believes 5G services will start rolling out in India by mid-2020. “We will be ready with our (5G) devices before the services are on,” Sheth said. “I want users in India to experience 5G even before the 5G services are out,” he added.

Sheth wants consumers to get their hands on affordable 5G smartphones before the roll out happens. “Once India is 5G-ready, consumers should not start looking for devices. Realme is there.” The Realme India CEO did not share any particular details about its planned 5G smartphone nor did he provide an exact timeline for its launch, but his words seem to suggest that we could see it launch in India either by the end of this year or early 2020.
