Xiaomi India announces a new colour variant of the Redmi Note 4 in India. This device is a supportive initiative to support swatch Bharath Andolan. The design aspects and the specifications remain identical throughout the lineup.

The new colour variant will be available in all three storage options. 2/3/4 GB RAM and 16/32/64 GB internal storage powered by energy-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core SoC.

In terms of connectivity, the device features dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability, with the hybrid SIM solution. Finger print scanner is located on the rear-end of the device with faster unlocking timings (0.3 seconds).

The 13 MP camera does support 1080p video recording capability. If you use any of the third-party camera apps, the device can record 4k videos at 30fps and 1080p at 60 fps. The front-facing fixed focus camera does offer 720p video recording capability.

The 4100 mAh battery with 10W fast charging capability does make this phone last at least for one complete working day without actually searching for a charger. In terms of operating system, the device is powered by Android Nougat 7.1 with custom UI (MIUI V8) on the top. The device is speculated to receive MiUi V9 update in few weeks which should improve the overall performance of the device.

The high-end model with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB LPDDR3 RAM retails for INR 12,999. Even though the phone is a 9-month-old model (launched in Janurary 2017) the device does offer the best design and battery backup.
