After stealthy two years, Samsung US finally refreshes its Samsung Galaxy Tab A in the United States of America. Now, the tablet is priced at $230 (INR 15,000) which offers a new design language with upgraded internals.

In terms of design and build quality, the device follows the trend and offers all-metal slab unibody solution in Silver and Matt black edition, which looks classy and cool. Here are the complete tech specifications of the same.

The next generation Samsung Galaxy Tab A features an 8.0-inch 1200 x 800 pixel resolution display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Quad-core SoC, paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB). As per the display is concerned, the device offers enough brightness to be visible in the sunlight and lowest brightness in the night to reduce the eye irritation (Blue light filter mode).

Coming to the camera capability, the device offers an 8 MP rear-facing camera with a single tone single LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera. Both cameras support 720p video recording capability with good-looking photos in the well-lit condition. With respect to connectivity, the device is likely to offer single SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability out of the box with support for WiFi, WiFi Hotspot and Bluetooth 4.2 out of the box.

With respect to the operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with custom Samsung UI on the top and might get an Android Oreo update in the near future. Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A is powered by a massive 5000 mAh Li-ion non-user replaceable battery, which should last for a complete day of usage with at least 6 to 7 hours of screen-on-time.
