It looks like the rumours regarding the cancellation of the JioPhone is just a bogus message. According to Economic Times, the company is has sent a text message to the interested parties with a link, so, upon showing the link in the nearest Reliance Jio store and the partnered store, one can buy the JioPhone without having to wait for anything.

As there is no pre-order procedure, a user has to pay the complete ₹1,500 at the time of the purchase plus the charges for the prepaid plans of ₹153 or more. So, if you have previously shown interest in this device, you are likely to receive the purchase code in next few days. However, Reliance Jio hasn’t commented anything on the JioPhone sale resume, but it’s likely to make official in next few days.

The main reason for the success of the JioPhone is the fact that, the device just cost an upfront cost of ₹1,500 and if you continue to recharge the smartphone for the next three years, then the same amount will be returned after 3 years, which makes it a great deal. Literally, you are just paying for the voice and data plans, that’s all.

However, if you don’t like the service and what to return after 12 months of usage then, the user can receive a cashback of ₹500 rupees, if you plan to return after 24 months, then the user is entitled to receive ₹1,000 rupees refund. In all three cases, the user has to return the smartphone in intact condition (have to keep the SIM with them).

For the beginners, the smartphone maker alias the network provider offering up to 512 MB of high-speed 4G data per day with free unlimited voice and video calls for 28 days for just ₹153. As the company has the strongest 4G network in India, this is the best data plan.

Not only the data plans, even the specifications offered on the device are impressive as well. The JioPhone offers a 2.4-inch colour non-touch display powered by entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, paired with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory with a dedicated micro SD card slot.

The mobile phone runs on a custom Kai OS, which offers applications like Jio TV, Jio Music, and My Jio. One can also connect the smartphone to either CRT or LCD TV to mirror the screen via accessories, using this feature, one can mirror the live TV and other multimedia content.

The only downgrade on this device is the fact that, the smartphone is network locked, which means, one can only use Jio SIM card. So, are you interested in buying the JioPhone? Share your views about the same in the comment box.
