In an unlikely event, the availability of the upcoming JioPhone is now extended for 10 more days. The Pre-booking for JioPhone started on 24th August with the first phase of delivery expected on 21st September. However, it looks like due to supply and demand issue, the delivery date is now postponed to 1st October.

However, everyone might not receive a handset on the first October itself, one has to wait to receive confirmation email or SMS regarding the delivery date confirmation from Reliance Jio. According to the recent information, the JioPhone will not be manufactured in India, instead, it will be imported from Taiwan to the different cities of India. So, let us wait for one more week to enjoy the Reliance JioPhone AKA, India ka smartphone.

Tech-specifications:

The effectively “zero” priced phone offers a 2.4-inch screen powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC, paired with 512 MB LPDDR3 RAM and 4 GB onboard flash storage. The device does offer external SD card slot up to 256 GB. The JioPhone is powered by custom Kai OS developed specially for the device.

The Phone feature a single SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability. The device does offer WiFi, Bluetooth and screen mirroring (for JioTV).

For a free phone, the device packs plethora features like NFC for the wireless payment, front-facing and rear-facing camera with LED flash and Wireless FM Radio are a few features to mention. According to the testimony, one can return the device after three years to receive complete 1500 cautionary deposit*.

JioPhone has been designed for those, who are still in the feature phone ear and haven’t shifted to smartphones.
