Samsung’s upcoming smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) is being officially listed in Samsung India official website. As of now, there is no information about the availability and the price tag of the device, however, it does says that the device will be available soon.

According to a Mumbai based offline retailer, the device will be officially announced within few weeks and the device will be priced at INR 7390 on both offline and online market stores. However, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017)’s complete specifications are with us.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) will feature a 4.7-inch qHD (540X960 pixels) resolution Super AMOLED screen with a 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device offers a 1.3 GHz Exynos Quad-core SoC, paired with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB).

In terms of camera capability, the device offers a 5 MP rear-facing camera with autofocus and 720p HD video recording capability, and a 2 MP front-facing camera without any front-facing flash. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE with VoLte capability, with WiFi and WiFi Hotspot facility.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) features a user-replaceable 2000 mAh Li-ion battery with normal charging capability via micro USB port. The device runs on Android’s latest operating system Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI on the top. The device will be available in Black and Gold and it weighs just 130 grams, making it the lightest phone on a 4.7-inch display. Features like 3.5 mm headphone jack, analogue radio is also present on the device.

However, the device still lacks features like a fingerprint scanner, metal unibody design, HD display, and not to forget the larger capacity battery. The only thing that can make people buy this device is the Samsung brand name.
