Samsung is all set to announce the successor of the original Galaxy Tab Active AKA, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2. So, as the name suggests, the device will be made for those who expect a rugged form factor tablet with the top of the line specifications without any compromises. The device will be offered in two variants with internal model number SM-T390/SM-T395 (one for 4G enabled and WiFi-only model) with IP68 water and dust resistance rating. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features an 8.0-inch TFT touchscreen display paired with 2.5D Curved tempered glass. Under the hood, the device offers an Exynos 7880 Octa-core SoC with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card (up to 128 GB).

Coming to the operating system, the device is expected to be powered by Android Nougat 7.1 with custom Samsung Touch-Wiz UI on the top. So, considering the massive battery, robust build quality and a standard set of features like HD screen, USB type C port, and other features are an added advantages. Coming to the price tag, the device is expected to be priced around $400 for the WiFi only variant and $500 for the 4G LTE model with a single SIM card slot. As of now there is no information regarding the availability of the device.
