Samsung is known for their flagship smartphones. However, there was a gap in their mid-tier segment essentially in India. It looks like Samsung On Max is on the mission to fulfil the same. The device offers best of both the words, from built quality, operating system to user experience.

The company is pretty serious about their sub  INR 20,000 price tag. Samsung Galaxy On Max is priced at INR 16,990 is a great smartphone with lots features. Samsung continues its all-metal unibody design with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

To begin with specifications, the device features 5.7 inches 1080p TFT panel, protected by 2.5D curved glass. Underneath, the device houses an oct-core 1.6 GHz MTK Helio P25 SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. Unlike the most budget smartphones, the device offers dedicated SD card slot along with two SIM card slot (4G + VoLte).

Further, the major selling point for the device is its camera capabilities. The device offers 13 MP rear and front-facing camera. The main camera features F/1.7 aperture (good for low light photographs) and the selfie camera features F/1.9 with individual LED flash. The built-in camera app does support few editing features and can be directly uploaded to social media. The device misses out on NFC, so, no fully fledged Samsung pay, instead one can Pay mini, by liking their e-wallets like Paytm and Phone pay.

The 3300 mAh battery is touted to last for a complete working day, with fast charging capability. However, on a sad note, the device still uses micro USB port for charging and data syncing. The device does feature all necessary sensors like the fingerprint scanner and proximity sensor.

The device goes on sale from 11th July (one minute early) via Flipkart. Early adopters can enjoy additional discounts by using standard chartered debit or credit card.
