Siri, the voice assistant that is finely tuned for the iOS and MacOS is a great personal digital-assistance that can perform your commands. However, as Siri was first incorporated on iPhone 4S, now we are almost near iPhone 7S launch making it old technology compared to Google Assistance. Google finally launches the much anticipated Google Assistance to iOS devices (both iPhone, iPad and iPod touch).

The Google assistance was debuted with Android 7.0 last year. According to the latest information, the update for the Google assistance is available in several countries including India, UK, Germany and France. However, the Google assistance cannot completely replace Siri. Due to iOS constraints, Google Assistance cannot replace Siri, however, one can add it in the widget for the easy access.

Requirements: iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch running on iOS version 9.1 is eligible to enjoy the google assistance including iPhone 5s.

Why Google Assistance: Google assistance can be a great tool to set reminders, alarms casual web search and much more. The Assistance takes input via voice as well as physical typing. It’s a nice effort to achieve its overall dominance with the voice assistance, however, due to operating system restrictions, it cannot perform all the tasks that one can expect.

We tried out Google Assistance in our iPhone 6s and it does work just as advertised. Hope, it gains more features like the one in Android OS in the future.
